South Georgia whale

In 2004 the artist was invited to visit Grytviken, the old whaling station on South Georgia with a view to producing a life size blue whale sculpture. The work would have been 112ft long and commemorated the whales and the whalers but the project did not go ahead. This small maquette remains in the museum there
